Tea Party Tomorrow

Don’t forget! Tomorrow is Tax Day here in the United States. And it is also the start of the new American Revolution. There are literally thousands of Tea Parties planned throughout the country to show our displeasure at the management of our government (regardless of the majority party).

Check out Tax Day Tea Party to see a list of confirmed Tea Parties and plan to attend one. Let your opinion be heard!

I will try to attend the Des Moines Tea Party tomorrow at the State Capitol (starting at noon). Stop by – don’t be afraid Leave a comment below if you are attending and I will try to find you tomorrow.

A note to the Obama-haters – the Tea Party is not a bash Obama/Democrats event. It is designed to attempt to create change at all levels of our government; to try to get us back on course and following the Constitution (still the greatest document the world has created). If you just want to gripe about Obama, please: stay home.

Introducing Rock Iowa

I had the pleasure to meet the Rock Iowa folks last night at their Market Street Media Foundry location. For those who do not know, Rock Iowa is an up-and-coming cultural and musical media network of news, reviews, artist profiles, videos, and photos from events here in Iowa. They currently have two sites – the main RockIowa.com and RockIowa.tv where a variety of very interesting videos are posted.

This team of unique individuals has some huge goals and plans for the future of both Rock Iowa and for the arts in Iowa. A new website design is forthcoming with a new look and and all-new structure.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get to know these guys and gals better in the future. I have also offered my web design and marketing knowledge to help them grow. So, go on over to their site and check out Rock Iowa!

Extreme Networking/Tweetup Today

I know this is a bit late, but I just found out about it myself. There will be an Extreme Networking Tweetup tonight at Legends Grill on Court Ave (map below). in Des Moines. Starting at 6:00 and going til about 8:00. The organizer (@esolutions) requests that you please RSVP online before the event.

I am going to try to make it, but there are no guarantees. I have another appointment tonight at 7:00, so I might stop in for a few. We’ll see.
